We have been looking for a place to go on vacation and this oil spill has really put a damper on our vacation plans. Now they are saying it is going to end up in the keys and around the Atlantic? I hope it doesn’t get there, that would suck so bad. We have a vacation home on north forest beach in Hilton Head. We rented it from a pet friendly vacation rental company. If there is oil on that beach I am going to be pissed.

The administration has said that they want to enact laws that would require passenger cars and trucks to average 35 miles per gallon.  Every passenger car and truck.  The car dealers are not happy but it really is their own fault.

The car dealers have been complaining and suing for years over state regulations, especially California’s tough emissions standards, which 16 other states follow.  They argued that it was difficult to have to build cars that had to meet the different standards and that states shouldn’t be allowed to make these rules.  Well now the government is stepping up with a more aggressive plan than any of the states so I guess the car dealers can’t be too mad.

So we went to Red’s Backwoods BBQ in Boca Raton and West palm Beach and i realized that they have a catering menu.  I haven’t used the catering service yet but man, what a great idea.  If you could get Red’s awesome BBQ delivered right to your house for your next event that would be fantastic.  So if you need catering in West Palm Beach or Boca Raton check out Reds.

So I’m thinking about possibly buying a business in south Carolina and I’m not sure how to go about it.  I have researched buying and selling businesses in South Carolina and I think the best bet is VR Charleston.  They have the best listings and they can do almost anything.  I am continuing to research but I think I am going to buy an existing business rather than trying start one.  At some point we have to do something!

So we’ve been getting some crazy text messages here around the house.  My wife is getting pictures of flowers from Baltimore Maryland and I keep getting text messages in Spanish.  The problem is that my wife doesn’t know anybody in Baltimore and I don’t speak Spanish.  We have come to find out that T-Mobile is just giving our numbers to other people.  That’s right they are just sending out working numbers to new customers. 

What seems to have happened was that we started our cell phones with SunCom well over 5 years ago when we moved to this area.  After being disappointed in the service and in the lack of quality phones we ported our numbers to Sprint so we could get a couple of Instincts.  Well apparently T-Mobile then bought Suncom.  Then they decided to start giving out our phone numbers to other people.  We are trying to get this all straightened out but it is a giant pain in the ass.  So thanks T-Mobile!

Sara Campbell, a British freediver has set a new record by diving 314ft on one breath of air.  Thats crazy.  My ears pop when I swim 10 ft under water and i really do enjoy swimming.  She is only 4 foot 11 and dives with nothing but a mermaid like fin on her legs.  over a football field deep while holding her breath with no extra weight.  Free diving seems like a very strange sport to me and very dangerous.  If you pass out you die and the goal is to push yourself as close to that as possible.  I know people like to push limits but that does seem strange to me.

There is a new site out called missingmoney.com, that tells you if there is money hanging out there waiting for you.  I ran my name through it but nothing came up unfortunately.  I did get some results for others with my last name, maybe I should hit them up for some money.

Has anybody ever gotten money back from one of these sites?  I would love to hear about it.
